YOUR WARRANTY RIGHTS AND OB-
LIGATIONS: The U.S. Envir onm ental
Protect ion Agency, California Air Resources
Board, Environment C anada and Poulan ar e
pleasedto explain the emissions co ntrol syst em
warra nty on your year 2010 and l ater small off--
road engine. In California, all sm all of f--road en-
gines must be designed, built, and equipp ed to
meet the St ate’s stringent anti--smog stan-
dards. Poulan must warrant the emission
controlsystemon yoursmall off--roadengine
for the periods of time listed below provided
there has been no abuse, neglect, or improp-
ermaintenance ofyoursm alloff--roadengine.
Your emission cont rol system includes parts
such as the car buretor, t he i gnition system and
the f uel tank. Where a warrant able condition
exists, Poulan will repair your small off--road
engine at no cost to you. Expenses covered
under warranty include diagnosis, parts a nd
labor. MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY
COVERAGE: If any emissions related part
on your engine (as listed under Emissions
Co ntrol Warranty Parts List ) i s defecti ve or ade-
fect in the m aterials or workm an ship o f t he en-
gine causes the failu re of su ch an emission re-
lated part, the part will be re paired or repla ced
by Poul an. OWNER’S WARRANTY RE -
SPONSIBILITIES: As the small off--road en-
gine owner, you are responsible for the per-
formance of the r equired maintenance listed
in your instruction manual. Poulan r ecom-
mends that yo u retain all receipts covering
maintenance on your small off--road engine,
but Poulan cannot deny warranty solely for
the lack of receipts or for your failure to en-
sure the per formance of all scheduled ma in-
tenance. As the small off--road engineowner,
you should be aware that Poulan may deny
you war ranty coverage if your small off--road
engine or a part of i t has failed due to abuse,
neglect, improper maintenance, un approved
modifications,or the use of par ts not madeor
approvedby theoriginal equipmentmanufac-
turer . You are respon sible for present ing your
small off--r oad engine to an Poulan author ized
repair center as so on as a problem exists. W ar-
ran ty r epair s s hou ld be com pletedin areason-
able am ount oftime, not toexceed30 days.If

is purchased. LENGTH OF COVERAGE:
This warranty shall be for a period of two
years fromthe initial date o fpurchase, oruntil
the end ofthe product warranty(whichever is
longer). WHAT IS COVERED: REPAIR OR
REPLACEMENT OF PARTS. Repair or re-
placement of any warranted part will be per -
formed at no charge to the owner at an ap-
proved P oulan servicing center. If you have

. WARRANTY PERIOD: Any
warranted part which is not scheduled for re-
placementas requiredmaintenance, orwhich
is scheduledonly for regular inspection tothe
effectof “repairor replaceas necessary”shall
be warranted for 2 years. Any warranted par t
which is scheduled for replacement as re-
quiredmaintenanceshallbewarranted forthe
period of time up to the fir st scheduled re-
placement point for that part. DIAGNOSIS:
The owner shallnot becharged f ordiagnostic
labor which leads to the determin at ion th at a
warranted p art is def ecti ve ifth e d iagnosti c work
is perfo rmed at an appro ved Poulan servicing
center. CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES:
Poulan may be li abl e fo r dam ages to other en-
gine components caused bythe failure of awar-
ranted part still un der warranty. WHA T IS NOT
COVERED: All failures caused by abuse, ne-
glect,or improper maintenance are notcove red.
ADD--ON OR MOD IF I ED P ART S : The use of
add--o n or modified parts c an be grounds for
disallo wing a warranty clai m. Poulanis not liable
to co ver failures of warranted parts caused by
the use of add--on or m odified parts. HOW TO
