FUELING ENGINE
WARNING: Remove fuel cap slowly
when refueling.
This engine is certified to operate on unleaded
petrol. Before operation, petrol must be mixed
with agood quality 2-cycle ai r-cooled engineoil.
We r ecommend McCulloch b rand oilmixed at a
ratio of 40:1 (2.5%). A 4 0:1 ratio is obtained b y
mixing 5 l iters of unleaded petrol with 0,125 liter
of oil. DO NOT USE automotive oil or boat oil.
These oils will cause engine damage. When
mixing fuel,followinstructions printedon oilcon-
tainer. Once oil is added to petrol, shake con-
tainer momentarily t o a ssurethat thefuel i sthor-
oughly m ixed. Always r ead andfollow t hesafety
rules relating to fuel before fueling your unit.
IMPORTANT
Experience indicates that alcohol blended fuels
(called gasohol or using ethanol or methanol)
can attract moisture which leads to separation
and formation of acids duri ng storage. Acidic
petrol can damage thefuel system ofan engine
while in storage. To avoid engine pr oblems,
empty the fuel system before storage for 30
days or longer . Drain the fuel tank, start the en-
gine an dlet itrun u ntil t hefuellines andcarbure-
tor are em pty. Use fresh fuel next season.Nev-
