Check to make sure there is adequate fuel flow to the
generator.
1. Install a manometer, Briggs and Stratton #19495 or
equivalent, in the manometer port.
2. Place generator in AUTO mode by pressing and holding
the AUTO button.
3. In the transfer switch, turn off utility power by setting the
utility disconnect to OFF.
4. The generator will automatically turn on and the transfer
switch will switch to generator power after about 20
seconds.
5. Turn on all gas appliances in the building.
6. Gradually turn on other electric devices in the building
until the generator reaches 95% of the electrical output
capacity. Verify the electrical output using an amp meter
on the generator output wires.
7. Verify that the fuel pressure at the manometer is 5-11”
WC. If fuel pressure is incorrect, refer to Pages 19-21
regarding the fuel system.
8. Reinstall control box cover with 6 screws (A) .
The generator is equipped with an exercise timer to ensure that
the generator is ready in case of a utility power outage. During
the exercise period, the generator runs for approximately 20
minutes, performs a diagnostic check, then shuts down. The
exercise cycle occurs weekly and requires setup at installation.
Electrical load transfer does not occur during the exercise
cycle.
Setting the exercise day and time.
1. Press and hold the left and right arrow buttons
simultaneously for 3 seconds to enter the General Set-up
program mode.
2. Press the left or right arrows to select the desired day of
the week, then press the OK button.
3. Press the left or right arrows to select the desired hour of
the day, then press the OK button.
4. Press the left or right arrows to select the desired
minute, then press the OK button.
5. Press the left or right arrows to select AM or PM, then
press the OK button.
6. In the transfer switch, turn on utility power by setting the
utility disconnect to ON.
7. Set the generator disconnect circuit breaker to the ON
position.
8. Make sure the 15 Amp fuse is installed in the generator
control panel.
9. Set the generator’s circuit breaker to the ON position.
10. Confirm that the generator is in AUTO mode.
