REPLACE FUEL FILTER (Fig. 33, 34 & 35)
The fuel filter shouldbe replacedafter each season,Never
operate your saw without a fuel filter. Be careful not to
damage fuel line while removingthe fuel filter.
• Run fuel tank dry offuelbefore proceedingwiththisstep.
• Remove fuel cap and allowit to hang to side of motor.
• Using a small pair of needle nose pliers,graspfuel cap
retainer,holding it in tankopening andpullout.
• With cap out of tank, use a small sectionof bent wire
similar to that shown in the illustrationto catch fuel line
and slowly pull from tank.When fuel filter appears in
opening, grasp with fingersand remove from tank.
• Once filter is out oftank, holdfuel lineclose tofuel filter.
Remove fuel filter by twistingarid pulling at the same
time.
• Replace fuel filter.
• Reverse process for installation.
