begins on the date the small off--road engine
is purchased. LENGTH OF COVERAGE:
This warranty s hall be for a period of two
yearsfromthe initialdate ofpurchase, oruntil
the endof the product warranty (whichever is
longer). WHAT IS COVERED: REPAIR OR
REPLACEMENT OF PARTS. Repair or re-
placement of any warranted part will be per-
formed at no charge to the owner at an ap-
proved Poulan servicing center . If you have

. WARRANTY PERIOD: Any
warranted part which is not scheduled for re-
placementas r equiredmaintenance,or w hich
is scheduledonly for regularinspection tothe

be warrantedfor 2 years. Any war rantedpart
which is scheduled for replacement as r e -
quiredmaintenanceshallbewarrant edforthe
period of time up to the first scheduled re-
placement point for that part. DIAGNOSIS:
Theownershall notbechargedfordiagnostic
labor which leads to t he determination that a
warranted part is defective if the diagnostic
work is performed at an app roved Poulan
servicing center. CONSEQUENTIAL DAM-
AGES: Poulan may be liab le for damages to
other engine components caused by the fail-
ure of a warranted part st ill under warranty.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED: All failures
caused by abuse, neglect, or imprope r main-
tenance arenot covered. ADD--ON OR MO-
DIFIED PARTS: The use of add--on or modi-
fied parts can be grounds for disallowing a

SION RELATED PARTS : Any Poulan ap-
proved r eplacement part used in the perfor-
mance o fany warranty m aintenanceor repair
on emission related parts will be pr ovided
without chargetothe o wnerifthepart isunder
warranty. EMISSION CONTROLWARRAN-
TY PARTS LIST: Carburetor, air filt er (co vered
up to maintenance schedule), ignition system:
spark plug (cove red up to maintenance sched-
ule), ignition modu le, muf fler including catalyst(if
equipped), fuel tank. MAINTENANCE
STATEMENT: The owner is responsible for
the perf ormance of all requ ired maintenance
as defined in the instruction manual.
The information on the p roduct label indicates which standard your engine is ce rtified.
Example: (Year) EPA and/or CALIFORNIA.
This engine is certified to be emissions compliant for the following use:
