ON/OFF SWITCH
The ON/OFF switch is loca ted on the trigger
handle and is used to stop the engine. Move the
switch to the OFF position to stop the engine.
PRIMER BULB
ThePRIMERBULBremoves airfromthecar-
buretor and fuel lines and fills them with fuel.
This allows you to start the engine with fewer
pulls on the starter rope. Activate the primer
bulb by pressing it and allowing it to return to
its original form.
CHOKE
The CHOKE helps to supply fuel to the engine
to aid in co ld starting. Activate the choke by
moving the choke lever to the FULL CHOKE
position.After t heengine a ttemp ts tostart,move
the choke lever to the HALF CHOKE position.
Once engine has sta rted, move the choke lever
to the OFF CHOKE position.
COUPLER
The COUPLER enables optional attach-
ments to be installed on the unit.

gin. If youdo not understandthe safety rules,
do not attempt to fuel your unit. Call

FUELING ENGINE
W ARNING:
Remove fuel cap slowly
when refueling.
HELPFUL TIP
To obtainthe correct oil mix
ratio, pour 3.2 ounces of
2--cycle synthetic oil into
one gallon of fresh gas.
This engine is certified to operate on un-
leaded gasoline. Befor e opera tion, gasoline
must be mixed with a good quality synthetic
2 - cycle air-coole d engine oil designe d to be
mixed at a ratio of 40:1. Poulan /Weed Eater
brand synthetic oil is recommended. Mix gaso-
line andoil ata ratioof 40:1.A 40:1ratio is ob-
tainedbymixing3.2ounces (95m l)ofoil with1
ga llon ( 4lite rs)of unleadedgasoline. DO NOT
USE automotive oil or marine oil. These oils
will cause enginedamage. Whenmixing fuel,
follow instructions printedoncontainer. Once
oil is added to gasoline, shake container mo-
mentarily to assure that thefuel is thoroughly
mixed. Always read and follow the safety
rules relating to fuel before fueling your unit.
IMPORTANT
Experience indicates that alcohol bl ended
fuels (called gasohol or using ethanol or
methanol)can attractmoisturewhichleadsto
separationandformationofacids during stor-
age. Acidic gas can damage the fuel system
ofan engi newhile instorage. To avoidengine
problems, empt y thefuel system beforestor-
agefor 30 days or longer. Drain thegas tank,
start t heengineandlet it rununtilthefuellines
andcarburetorareempty. Usefresh fuel nex t
season. Never use engine or carburetor
cleanerproductsinthefueltank orpermanent
damage may occur.

HOW TO STOP YOUR UNIT

To s top the engine, move the ON/OFF
switch to the OFF position.

If engine does not stop, move choke lever
to FULL CHOKE position.
