Standard Seeds Drive Assembly
Refer to Figure 1-7:
1. Place decal “Danger Guard Missing” (#20) and
“Seed Rate Chart” (#21) in locations shown.
2. Assemble chain guard mounts (#3) with the 1/4”
flange bolts (#5) and flange nuts (#10). Do not tighten
until the complete drive has been assembled and the
chain guard (#17) installs properly. The chain guard
mounts are slotted for easier chain guard mounting.
3. Install 1/2” jam nut (#9) first and then lower chain idler
(#4) and nut (#7). Install upper chain idler (#4) with
1/2”bolt (#6) and nut.
4. Assemble idler sprockets (#18) to idlers. Secure with
1/2” flat washers (#11) and cotter pins (#13).
5. Assemble the spacers (#2) and speed change
sprocket assembly (#1) to the 5/8” welded on bolt with
the 5/8” lock washer (#12) and nut (#8), determine
which drive type required. See “Seed Rate Speed
Change” page 18.
6. Assemble the sprocket (#14) with existing bolt and
lock washer as shown.
7. Install chain (#16) first and then chain (#15). Adjust
chain tension with Idlers.
8. Assemble chain guard (#17). Position chain guard
mounts (#3) where needed and tighten hardware.
