OIL REMOVAL FROM THE ENGINE BREATHER VALVE SYSTEM
IN THE EVENT THAT OIL ENTERS THE ENGINE BREATHER VALVE SYSTEM, THE OIL MUST BE
REMOVED BEFORE CRANKING THE ENGINE.
REFER TO FIG. 39 FOR THIS PROCEDURE.
1. If oil has entered the engine breather valve system, it may be found in the intake
manifold. Remove the intake manifold for verification.
2. Oil that has entered the engine through the engine breather valve system can be
removed from the cylinders by removing all the fuel injection nozzles and turning the
engine with the starter until all oil is exhausted.

CATED” on page 10-15
