ADJUSTMENTS
CUTTING DECK REMOVAL
Beforeperforminganymaintenanceor repairs,disengageblades,
stopengineandremovekeyto preventunintendedstarting.
Toremovethecuttingdeck,proceedasfollows:
1. Removethebeltcoverby removingthethree screwsandwashers
whichsecureittotheframe.SeeFigure23.
Shuttheengineoffand removetheignitionkeybeforemaking
adjustments.
Handle Height
Theupperhandleissecuredtotwosupportbarsthatcanbe adjusted
toraiseor lowerthehandleheight.Adjustifnecessaryasfollows:
1. Removethe upperstarknobandcarriagescrewon therightside
ofthehandleandtheIdt sideofthehandle.

2. Pivotthehandleforwardor rearwardto alignoneof thethree
holesoneachsupportbarwiththeholesonthehandle.
3. Reinstalltheupperstarknobandcarriagescrewon therightside
ofthehandleandtheIdt sideofthehandlewhena comfortable
heightisachieved.
Donotoperatemowerwithoutthebeltcoverinstalled.Failuretofol-
lowthisinstructioncouldresultin personalinjuryorpropertydamage.
