CARBURETOR
If you think your carburetorneeds adjusting,see your
nearest Sears Service dealer. Engine performancemay
be affected above 4,000 feet in altitude. To improve
engine performance, see your nearest Sears Service
dealer.
NOZZLE MAINTENANCE
If the nozzle becomes restrictedor cloggedwithforeign
materials, such as dirt, excessivepump pressure may
develop. A partiallyclogged nozzle can cause a pulsing
sensationduring use. Thisgenerally is not a pumprelat-
ed problem, but rather a cloggedor partiallyrestricted
nozzle.
Ifthe nozzle becomes clogged or partially restricted,
immediatelyclean the nozzle with the kit includedwith
your pressurewasher by followingthese instructions:
Shut off theengine and turn offthe water supply.
Separatethe wand from the gun.
Rotate to stream setting.
Remove nozzle from the end ofthe wand usinga
2mm or 5/64 allen wrench (likethe one includedin the
kit).
Use the wire includedin the kitor a small paper clip to
free the foreignmaterials cloggingor restrictingthe
nozzle.
Remove additionaldebris by backflushing water sup-
ply throughwand. Backflush between 30 to 60 sec-
onds. Turn wand to stream spray and move nozzle
from low to highpressurewhile flushing.

Reinstall nozzle intowand. DO NOT overtighten.
Reconnectwand extensionto spray gun.
Reconnectthe water supply, turn ON the water, and
startthe engine.
Test the pressure washer by operating with nozzle in
the high and the low pressure positions.
Insertwire intonozzleandturnback andforth to clear
obstruction.
