not operatelawnmowerwhenyouaretired.
• Themotor/bladecontrolhandleisa safetydevice.Neverattempt
to bypassitsoperation.Doingsomakesthe safetydevice
inoperativeand mayresultinpersonalinjury throughcontact
withthe rotatingblade.Themotor/bladecontrolhandlemust
operateeasilyinbothdirectionsandautomaticallyreturnto the
disengagedpositionwhenreleased.
• Neveroperatethe mowerinthe rainor indampor wetgrass.
Alwaysbesureof yourfooting. Aslip andfallcancauseserious
personalinjury.If youfeelyouarelosingyourfooting,releasethe
motor/bladecontrolhandleimmediatelyandthe bladewillstop
rotatingwithinthreeseconds.
• Mowonly indaylightor goodartificiallight.Walk,neverrun.
• Stopthemotor/bladewhencrossinggraveldrives,walksor roads.
• If theequipmentshouldstartto vibrateabnormally,stopthe
engineandcheckimmediatelyforthe cause.Vibrationisgener-
ally awarningof trouble.
Shutthe motoroff andwaituntilthe bladecomestoa complete
stopbeforeremovingthegrasscatcheror uncloggingthechute.
Thecuttingbladecontinuesto rotatefora few secondsafterthe
motoris shutoff. Neverplaceanypartof thebodyin the blade
areauntilyouare surethe bladehas stoppedrotating.
• Neveroperatemowerwithoutpropertrail shield,discharge
chute,grasscatcher,motor/bladecontrolhandleorother safety
protectivedevicesin placeandworking.Neveroperatemower
withdamagedsafetydevices.Failureto do so,can resultin

providedon thecircuit(s)oroutlet(s)to beusedfor thelawn
mower.Receptaclesareavailablehavingbuilt-inGFCIprotection
