GENERAL OPERATmON
Readthis operator'smanualcarefullyin its entiretybeforeattempting
to assemblethis machine.Read,understand,and followall instructions
onthe machineand inthe manual(s)beforeoperation.Becompletely
familiarwiththe controlsandthe properuseof this machinebefore
operatingit. Keepthis manualin a safeplaceforfuture and regular
referenceandfor orderingreplacementparts.
o Thismachineisa precisionpieceof powerequipment,not a plaything.
Therefore,exerciseextremecaution atalltimes.Yourunithasbeen
designedto performonejob: to mowgrass.Do notuseit for anyother
purpose.

To helpavoidbladecontactor a thrownobjectinjury,stayinoperator
zone behindhandlesandkeepchildren,bystanders,helpers,and petsat
least75feetfrom mowerwhile itis in operation.Stop machineif anyone
entersarea.
o Alwayswearsafetyglassesor safetygogglesduringoperationandwhile
performingan adjustmentor repairto protectyour eyes.Thrown objects
which ricochetcancauseseriousinjurytothe eyes.
o Wearsturdy,rough-soledwork shoesandclose-fittingslacksandshirts.
Shirts andpantsthat coverthe armsand legsandsteel-toedshoes
are recommended.Neveroperatethis machinein barefeet, sandals,
slippery orlightweight(e.g.canvas)shoes.

controlhandlemustoperateeasily in bothdirectionsandautomatically
returnto the disengagedpositionwhenreleased.
o Neveroperatethe mowerinwet grass.Alwaysbe sureof yourfooting. A
slip andfall can causeseriouspersonalinjury.Ifyoufeelyouare losing
your footing,releasethe bladecontrolhandleimmediatelyandthe blade
will stoprotatingwithinthree seconds.
Mowonly in daylightorgoodartificiallight.Walk,neverrun.
