E. Use lift bar to apply pressure to the weight
transfer arms and attach the upper link of the four
link chain over the end of the arm, positioning in the
cut out slot.
F. Rotate the deck lift handle forward to achieve
a lower cutting height or rearward to achieve a high-
er cutting height and pin in the desired setting.
G. If the mower deck is not level refer back to
Maintenance Section for instructions.
OPTIONAL -
REAR WEIGHT KIT MOUNTING
The optional rear weight kit is shipped with three
weights totaling 104 pounds. These weights can be
assembled on the single tailwheel assembly or the
dual tailwheel assembly. This kit includes fasteners
and spacers to accommodate attaching to both
assemblies.
To mount to the single tailwheel:
1. Remove the rear shield.
2. Position one 1/4” spacer on each leg of the
formed channel of the single tailwheel frame.
3. Stack the three rear weights, aligning the four
holes and spacers and install the four 5/16” x
4-1/4” capscrews, flatwashers, lockwashers and
hex nuts.
4. Install the rear shield with two of the three knobs.
The rear knob must be left off.
To mount to the dual tailwheel:
1. Remove the rear shield.
2. Position two 1-1/16” spacers toward the rear and
two 1-1/2” spacer toward the engine. Spacers
should be positioned over the four holes.
3. Stack the three rear weights, aligning the four
holes and spacers and install the four 5/16” x 5-
1/2” capscrews, flatwashers, lockwashers and
hex nuts.
4. Install the rear shield with two of the three knobs.
The rear knob must be left off.
