2--cycle synthetic oil into
one gallon of fresh gas.
This engine is ce rtified to operate on unleaded
gasoli ne. Before operation, gaso line must be
mixed wit h a good quality synthetic 2-c ycl e
air-cooled eng ine oil designed to be m ixed at a
ratio of 40:1. Poulan/WEED EATER brand
synthetic oil is recommended. Mix gasoline and
oil a t a ratio o f 40:1. A 40: 1 rat io is obtained by

(4 liters) of unleaded gasoline. DO NO T USE
automotive oil or marine oil. These oils will
cause eng ine damage. W hen mixing fuel, follow

FUEL REQUIREMENTS
This engine requires the u se of minimum 87
octane [R+M]/2 clean gasoline.
IMPORTANT
Use of alcohol blended fuels (called gasohol or
using e thanol or methano l) ca n cause major
engine performance and durability probl ems.
WARNING: Al ternative fuels (not gas-
oline) such as E--1 5 (15% alcohol), E--20 ( 20%
alcohol ), E--85(85%alcoh ol) are NOT classifi ed
as gasoli ne and are N OT approved for use i n
2--stroke gasoline engines. Use of alternat ive
fuels will cause pr oblems such as: improper
clutch engagem ents, over heating, va por lock,
power loss, lubrication deficienc y, deterioration
of fuel lines, gaske ts and internal car buretor
component s, etc. Alternat ive fuels cause high
moistu re absorption into the fuel /oil mixture
leading to oil and fuel separation.
