STOP
Switch
STOP SWITCH
The STOP sw itch is used to stop the engine.
To stop the engine, push and hold the STOP
switch in the S TOP position until the engine
stops.
THROTTLE TRIGGER
The THRO TTLE TRIGGER is used to select
the desired engine speed.
PRIMER BUTTON
The PRIM ER BUTT ON rem o ve s ai r fr o m the
carb uretor and f uel lines a nd fills them wi th fuel.
This allo ws yo u to st art th e engine with fewe r
pulls on the starter rope. Activa te primer but ton
by pressing it and a llowing i t to return to its origi-
nal p osition.
CHOKE LEVER
The CHOK E helps to supply fuel to the engine
toaidincoldstarting.Activatethechokeby
moving the cho ke lever to the FULL CHO KE
positi on. A fter engineattem pts t o start, move t he
choke lever to the HA LF CHOKE posi tion.
Once engine st arts, move cho ke lever to the
RUN posi t i o n.
OPE RATING POSITION

OPE RATING TIPS
S While vacuuming or blowing debris, hold
the unit with the muffler side facing away
from your body and clothes (see OPERAT-
ING POSITION illustration above).
S To reduc e the risk of hearing loss
associated with sound level(s), hearing
protection is required.
S To reduce the risk of injury asso ciat ed with
contacting rota ting par ts, stop the engine be-
fore inst alling or re moving attach ments. Do
not operate without guard(s) in place .
S Operate power equipment only a t reasonable
hours--not early in th e morning or la te at night
when people might be disturbed. Comply with
times l isted in localordi nances. Usual recom-
mendations are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.,
Monday though Saturday.
S To reduce noise levels, limit t h e number of
pieces of equipment used at any one time.
