THROTTLE LEVER
The THROTTLE LEVER is usedto select the
desiredengine speed and to stop the engine.
Move thethrottle lever tothe
position for
full speed operation. Move the throttle lever
tothe
positionfor idlespeed. Tostopthe
engine, move the throttle lever to the ST OP
position.
PRIMER BUTTON
The PRIMER BUTTON removes air from t he
carburetor andfuel lin es and f ills t hem with fuel.
Thisallowsyoutostarttheenginewithfewer
pulls on the s tarter ro pe. Activate prim er button
by pressingit and all owing itto returnto its origi-
nal position.
CHOKE LEVER
The CHOKE helps to supply fuel to the e ngine
toaidincoldstarting.Activatethechokeby
moving the choke lever to t he FULL C HOKE
position.Afterengineattempts tostart, move the
choke lever to the HALF CHOKE position.
Once engine starts, move choke lever to the
RUN positi o n.

OPERATING TIPS
S While vacuuming or blowing debris, hold
the unit with the m uffler side facing away
from your body andclothes (see OPERA T-
ING POSITION illus tration above).
S To reduce the risk of hearing loss
associated with sound level(s), hearing
protection is required.
S To reduce the risk of injury associated with
contacting rotating pa rts, stop the engine be-
fore installing or removing attachments. Do
not operate without guard(s) in place.
S Operate power equipment only a t reasonable
hours--not early in the morning or late at night
when people mightbe disturbed. Comply with
times l isted in local ordinances. Usual recom-
mendations are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.,
Monday though Saturday.
S To reduce noise levels, limit the number of
pieces of equipment used at any one time.
S To reduce noise levels, operate power
blowers at the lowest possible throttle
speed to do the job.
S Use rakes andbrooms toloosen debris be-
fore blow ing.
