LIMITED WARRANTY
WEED EATER warrants to the original pur-
chaser that each new WEED EATER brand
gasoline tool or attachment is free from defects
in mat erial and workmanship and agrees to re-
pairor replaceunder thiswarranty anydefective
gasoline product o r attachment as f ollows from
the original date o f purchase:
2 YEARS-- Parts and Labor, when used for
household purposes.
90 DAYS -- Parts and Labor, when used for
commercial, professional, or income pr oducing
purposes.
30 DA YS -- P arts and Labor , if used for r ental
purposes.
This w arranty is not transferable and does n ot
cover damage or liability caused by im proper
handling, improper maintenance, or t he use of
accessories and/or a ttachments not specifically
recommended by WEED EATER for t hi s tool.
Additionally , this warranty does not cover tune-
ups, spark plugs, filters, starter ropes, starter
springs, cutting line, or rotating head parts that
will wear a nd require r eplacement with reason-
able use during the warranty period. This war-
ranty doe s not cover predelivery setup or nor-
mal adjustments explained in the instruction
manual.

YOUR WA RRAN TY RIGHTS AND OBL IGA-
TIONS: The U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency/California Air Resources Board and
WEED EA TER are pleased to explain theemis-
sions control system warranty on your year
2007 and later small of f--road engine. I n Califor-
nia, all small off--road engines must be de-
signed, built, and equipped to m eet the State’s
stringent anti--smog standards. WEED E A TER
must warrant the emission control system on
your small off--road engine for the periods of
time listed below p rovided there has been no
abuse, neglect, or improper maintenance of
your sm all off--road engine engine. Y our emis-
sio n control syste m in clu d e s part s such a s the
carburetor, the ignition system a nd the fu el tank
(Californi a only). Wherea warrantablecondition
exists, WEED EATER will r epair your small of f--
road engine engineat no cost to you. Expenses
covered under warranty include diagnosis,
parts and labor . M ANU FACTURE R’ S W AR-
RANTY COVERAGE: If any emissions related
part on your engine ( as l isted under Emissions
Control W arranty Parts List)is defectiveor ade-
fect in the m ateria ls or workmanship o f the en -
gine causes the failure of such an emission re-
lated part, t he part will be repaired or replaced
by WEED EATER. OWNER’S WARRANTY
RESPONSIBILITIES:As thesmall of f--roaden-
gine engine owner , you are r esponsible for the
performance of the required m aintenance listed
in your instruction manual. WEED EA TER rec-
ommends that you retain a ll receipts covering
maintenance on your small off--road engine,but
WEED EATER cannot deny warranty solely for
the lack of r eceipts or for your f ailure to ensure
the p erformance o f all scheduled m aintenance.
As t he small off--road engine engine owner , you
should be aware that WEED EATER may deny
you warranty coverage if your small off--road
engine engi ne or a part of it has failed due to
abuse, neglect, improper maintenance, unap-
proved modifications, or the use of parts not
made or approved by the original equipment
manufacturer. Y ou are responsible f or present-
ing your small off--road engine to a WEED EA T-
ER aut horized repair center as soon as a prob-
lem exists. Warranty repairs should be com-
pleted in areasonable amount oftime,not toex-
ceed 30 days. If you h ave a ny questions r e-
garding your warranty rights and responsibili-
ties, youshould contactyour nearestauthorized
service center or call WEED EATER at
1--800--554--6723. WARRANTY COM-
MENCEMENT DA TE: The warranty period be-
gins on the date the small o ff--road engine is
purchased. LENGTH OF COVERAGE: Th is
warranty shall befor a period of two years from
the initial date of purchase. WHA T IS COV-
ERED: REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF
PARTS. Repair or replacement of any war-
ranted part will be performed at nocharge to the
owner a t an approved WEED E A TER servicing
