CHECK MUFFLER MOUNTING
SCREWS
Once each year , ensure muf fler m ounting
screws ar e secure and tightened properly to
prevent damage.

1. Loosen andremove the2 screws from the
muffler cover.
2. Remove the muffler cover.
3. Tighten the2 muffler m ounting screws se-
curely .
4. Reinstall muffler cover and 2 screws.
Tighten securely.
CARBURETOR ADJUSTMENTS
There is no screw for idle adjustment on your
blower. The throttle lever is used to control
engine speed. The throttle lever can be
placed in one of four positions: ST OP, IDLE
or
, FULL THRO TTLE or , a nd one
intermittentposition. Ifyourenginewillnotrun
properly or you require further assistance,
contact an authorized service dealer or call
1--800--554--6723.
STORAGE
WARNING: Perform the following
steps after each use:
S Allow engine to cool, and secure the unit
before storing or transporting.
S Store unit and fuel in a well ventilated area
where fuel vapors cannot reach sparks or
open flames from water heaters, electric
motors or switches, furnaces, etc.
S Store unit w ith all guards in place. Position
unit so that any sharp object cannot acci-
dentally cause injur y.
S Store unit and fuel w ell out of the r each of
children.
SEASONAL STORAGE
Prepare unitfor storage at endof season or if
it will not be used for 30 days or more.
If your unit is to be stored for a period of time:
S Clean the ent ire unit before lengthy stor-
age.
S Store in a clean dry area.
S Lightly oil external metal surfaces.
FUEL SYSTEM
Under FUELING ENGINE in t h e OPERA-
TION sectionof this manual,see m essagela-
beled IMPORTANT regarding the use of ga-
sohol in your engine.
Fuel stabilizer i s a n acceptable a lternative i n
minimizing t he formation of fuel gum depo sits
during storage. Add stabilizer to gasoline i n fuel
tank or fuel storage container . Follow the mix
instructions found on stabilizer container. R un
engine at least 5minutes af ter a dding stabilizer.
HELPFUL TIP
During storageof your gas/
oilmixture, theoil will sepa-
rate from the gas.
We recommend that you
shake the gas can weekly
toinsure proper blendingof
the gas and oil.
ENGINE
S Remove spark plugand pour 1teaspoon of
40:1, 2- cycle engineoil ( air cooled)through
the spark plug opening. Slowly pull the
starter r ope 8 to 10 t im es to distribute oil.
S Replacespark plug with newone ofrecom-
mended type and heat range.
S Clean air f ilter.
S Check entire unit for loose screws, nuts,
and bolts. Replace any damaged, broken,
or w orn parts.
S At the beginning of the next season, use
only freshfuelhaving thep ropergasolineto
oil ratio.
OTHER
S Do not store gasoline from one season to
another.
S Replaceyour gasolinecan ifitstarts torust.
