The ECHO product you purchased has been partially assembled for your convenience. Due to packaging restrictions,
installation of the plastic debris shield, nylon line head, and positioning of the front handle are necessary.
After opening the carton, check for damage. Immediately notify your retailer or ECHO Dealer of damaged or missing
parts. Use the contents list to check for missing parts.

ASSEMBLY
DRIVE
SHAFT/POWER HEAD
Tools Required: 8 x 10 mm Spanner Wrench, Cross-Head Screwdriver
Parts Required: Power Head, Drive Shaft Assembly
1. Stand engine on a level surface.
2. Loosen the two bolts (A) at drive shaft end of engine.
3. Carefully fit drive shaft assembly to engine, making sure that
inner drive shaft engages into clutch mount.
NOTE
Rotate the drive shaft housing until edger housing is in line with the
engine.
4. Tighten bolts (A).
