Line up the cutouts on the sprocket guard with the pins (13).
Turn the chain tensioning screw (B/5) to align the chain tensio-
ning pin (14) with the hole in the guide bar.
First press the chain guard (3) into its mounting (B/4) and then
push it onto the pin (13).
Pull the chain (9) around the sprocket nose (12) of the guide
bar in the direction of the arrow.
With your left hand, gently push the guide bar against the space
on the housing and simultaneously pull the guide bar forward
until the guide pin cutout on the guide bar slips over the guide
pin (C/8).
Tightening the saw chain
By simultaneously rmly pushing in and turning the sprocket
guard quick tensioner (2, clockwise), screw in the sprocket guard
(3) but do not tighten it.
Lift the tip of the guide bar slightly and turn the chain tensioner
(5) clockwise until the chain engages in the guide groove on
the underside of the guide bar (see circle).
Push the sprocket guard quick tensioner (2) in again and tighten
clockwise.
Loosen the sprocket guard quick tensioner until it turns freely,
and then fold in between the guard ribs (15) as shown.
