BELT GUIDE ADJUSTMENT
1.Removesparkplugwire.
2. Havesomeoneengagetheaugerdrive.Thiswillengageaugeridler
pulley(A,Figure35).
3. Measurethedistancebetweenthebeltguide(B)andbelt(C).The
distanceshouldbeabout1/8inch(3 ram).
4. Ifadjustmentisnecessary,loosenbeltguidemountingbolt.Move
beltguidetothecorrectposition.Tightenmountingbolt.
5. Installbeltcover.
6. Connectsparkplugwire.

CHECKANDADJUSTTHECABLES
Thecablesareadjustedatthefactoryandnoadjustmentshouldbe
necessary.Ifthecableshavebecomestretchedoraresaggingadjustment
will benecessary.
Wheneverbeltsareadjustedor replaced,thecableswill needtobead-
justed.
Tocheckforcorrectadjustment,unhook"Z"fitting(A,Figure36)atclutch
lever(B).
1.Moveclutchlever(B)tothefullforwardposition(justcontacting
plasticbumper).Holdingcabletight,notepositionoffittingtoholein
clutchlever.
2. Thecenterofthe"Z"fitting(A)shouldbebetweenthecenterandtop
oftheholein theclutchlever(B).

1.Removethegasfromthegastank.Standthesnowthrowerupon the
frontendoftheaugerhousing.
2. Pushcable(A,Figure37)throughspring(B)to exposethethreaded
portionofthecable.
3. Holdsquareendofthreadedportionwith pliersandadjustIocknut
(C)inor outuntilcorrectadjustmentisreached.
4. Pullcablebackthroughspringandconnectcable.
