Control Lever Linkage Lubrication
Check the function of the Free Hand control (A, Figure 12). The
controls should function as described in the Operation section.
WARNING
Amputation hazard
It is critical for safe operation of the unit that the controls
disengage when released. Under no circumstances should
the unit be used if the controls do not function properly. See
Safety Systems Tests to confirm correct operation.
Lubricate the linkage for the Free Hand control, speed select
control, and Easy Turn/Easy Steer control every ten operating
hours, or as necessary to ensure safe operation.

Auger Assembly Lubrication
Lubricate Auger Gear Box
The auger gear box is lubricated at the factory and should not
require additional lubrication. If additional lubricant is required,
use the color of the remaining grease to determine what type of
lubricant to add. If the grease is white in color, add Lubriplate
GR132 Grease or equivalent. If the grease is brown in color, add
EP1 lithium grease. A gearbox lubricant capacity is 3-1/4 ounces,
(92 grams).
Check the auger gear box grease level once per year. Using a
piece of wire as a dipstick, remove the filler plug (A, Figure 13)
and check to confirm the presence of grease in the gearbox. If
grease is visible, do not add. If grease is not visible add the
required lubricant.
