Unit throws snow
poorly or does not
throw snow.
1. Shear bolts broken. 1. Replace shear bolts (see Shear
Bolts on page 21).
2. Attachment clutch/brake
not adjusted properly.
2. Adjust attachment clutch/brake
(see Attachment Clutch/Brake
Adjustment on page 25).
3. Auger is frozen in place. 3. Move unit to a warm place to
thaw.
4. Ice or debris is obstructing
auger.
4. Move PTO and key switches to
OFF position. Remove key from
switch. Clear blockage from
auger or chute (see Snow Clean-
Out Tool on page 14).
5. Attachment drive belt
slipping, worn or damaged.
5. Adjust or replace attachment
drive belt (see Attachment
Clutch/Brake Adjustment on
page 25).
Controller displays
flashing red light
under the cover.
1. A trouble code has been
set in the electrical system:
____ = long flash
• = short flash

Perform the suggested correction. If
trouble code resumes contact your
Ariens Dealer.
