Copying Book Originals
Limitation
❒ You cannot use the bypass tray
with this function.
❒ The function might not work for
certain types of large size originals
(such as A3, 11" × 17"). In this case,
an optional 32MB memory or a
HDD is required.
Note
❒ The machine sets the reproduction
ratio automatically to meet the pa-
per size and copies the originals to-
gether onto the paper.
❒ The machine uses ratios in the
range of 25 to 400% (25-200% when
placing originals in the document
feeder).
❒ If the calculated ratio is under the
available minimum ratio, it will be
adjusted to the minimum ratio.
However, with some ratios, parts
of the image might not be copied.
❒ If the direction of originals is dif-
ferent from that of the copy paper,
the machine will automatically ro-
tate the image by 90° to make cop-
ies properly.
❒ If the number of originals scanned
is less than a multiple of 4, the last
page is left blank.
❒ You can have a 3mm, 0.1" bound-
ing margin around all four edges
of the original left blank (erased).
