HELPFUL TIP
During storageofyourgas/
oilmixt ure, t heoil willsepa-
rate from the gas.
We recommend that yo u
shake the gas can weekly
toinsureproper blendingof
the gas and oil.
ENGINE
S Removespar k plugand pour1 t easpoonof
40:1,2-cycleengine oil(air cooled) t hrough
the spark plug opening. Slowly pull the
starter rope 8 to 10 times to distribute oil.
S Replacespark plug withnew one ofrecom-
mended type and heat range.
S Clean air filter.
S Check entire unit for loose screws, nuts,
and bolts. Replace any damaged, broken,
or worn parts.
S At the beginning of the next season, u se
only freshfuel havingtheproper gasolineto
oil ratio.
OTHER
S Do not st ore gasoline from one season to
another.
S Replaceyour gasolinecanif itstarts torust.
TROUBLE CAUSE REMEDY
Engine will not
start.
1. E ngine flooded.
2. Fuel tank empty.
3. Spark plug not firing.
