SECURE EXTENSIO N CORD TO U NI T
CAUTION: Failure to use cord retainer
could result in damage to the unit, exten-
sion c ord, or both.
1. Lo op extension cord through cord re-
tainer.
2. Insert cord receptacle through loop.
3. Hold the cord receptacle in one hand.
Use the other hand to gently pull on
the extension cord to remove slack.
NOTE: Only remove enough slack
from the extension cord tosec ure it to
the c ord retainer. Pulling too h ard
could da mage the extension c ord.
4. Insert the cord receptacle into the re-
cessed plug.

USING YOUR UNIT AS A BLOWER
WARNING: Inspect the area be-
foreusingtheunit. Removealldebrisand
hard objects su ch as rocks, glass, wire,
etc.,thatcanricochet,bethrown,orother-
wise cause injury or damage during op-
eration.
Use your unit as a blower for:
D Sweeping debris or grass cl i ppings f r om
driveways, sidewal ks, patio s, etc.
D Blow ing grass clippi n g s, straw, or leaves
into pi l es, or removing debri s f r om cor-
ners, around joi nts, or bet we en b ri cks.
Direct air flow by directing the blower tube/
nozzle down or to one side. Al wa ys wor k
away from solid object s such as wal ks,
large s t o nes, vehicl es, and fences.
Clean corner s by starti ng in corners and
moving outwar d. This wi ll help prevent an
accumulation of debr i s w hich could fl y int o
your face .
Be caref ul when wor ki ng near plant s. The

severe damage to the impeller. To avoid
the possibility of electrical shock, do not at-
tempt to vacuum water or other li qui ds.
Use your unit as a vacuum to pick up dry
material such as leaves, grass, small
twigs, and bits of paper.
