LIMITED WARRANTY
ELECTROLUX HOME PRODUCTS, INC.,
warrants to the original purchaser that each
new WeedEaterr brand gasolinetool or at-
tachment is free from defects in material and
workmanship and agrees to repair or replace
under this warranty any defective gasoline
product or attachment as follows from the
original date of pur chase:
2 YEAR S -- Parts and La bor , when used for
household purposes.
90 DAYS -- Parts and Labor, when used for
commercial, professional, or income producing
purposes.
30 DA YS -- Parts and Labor , if used fo r rental
purposes.
This w arranty is not transferable and does n ot
cover damage or liability caused by improper
handling, improper maintenance, or t he use of
accessories and/or attachments notspecifically
recommended b y ELECTROLUX HOME
PRODUCT S, INC., for this tool. Additionally,
this warranty does not cover tune-ups, spark
plugs, f ilters, starter ropes, starter springs, cut-
ting line, or r otating head pa rts that will wear and
require replacement with reasonable use during
the warranty period. This warranty does not
cover predelivery setup or normal adjustments
explained in the instruction m anual.

YOUR WARR ANT Y RIGHTS AND O BL I GA-
TIONS: The U.S. E nvironmental Protection
Agency/California Air Resources Board and
ELECTROLUX HOME PRODUCTS, INC., a re
pleased t o explain theemissions control system
warranty on your year 2002--2004 small off--
road engine. In C alifornia, a ll new small off--road
engines must b e designed, built, and equipped
to meet the State’s stringent anti--smog stan-
dards. ELECTROLUX HOME PRODUCTS,
INC., must warrant the emission control system
on your small off--road engine f or the periods of
time listed below p rovided there has been no
abuse, neglect, or improper maintenance of
your sm all off--road engine engine. Y our emis-
sio n cont ro l system incl u d e s parts such as t h e
carburetor and the ignition system. Where a
warrantable condition exists, ELECTROLUX
HOMEPRODUCTS, I NC.,willrepair your small
off--road eng ine engine at n o cost t o you. Ex-
penses covered underwarranty include di agno-
sis, parts and labor . MANUFACTURER’S
WARRANTY COVERAGE: If any emissions
related part on your engine (as listed under
Emissions Control W arranty Parts List) is defec-
tive or a defect in the materials o r workmanship
of t heenginecauses thefailure ofsuch anemis-
sion related part, the part will be repaired or re-
placed by ELECTROLUX HOME PROD-
UCTS, INC. OWNER’S WARRANTY RE-
SPONSIBILITIES: As t he small off--road en-
gine engine owner , you are responsible for the
performance of the required maintenance listed
in your instruction manual. ELECTROLUX
HOME PRODUCTS, INC., recommends that
you retain all receipts covering maintenance on
your s mall of f--road engine, but ELECTROLUX
HOME PRODUCTS, I NC., cannot deny war-
ranty solely for the l ack of r eceipts or f or your
failure to ensure the performance of all sched-
uled main tenance. As the small of f--road en-
gine engine o wner , you should b e a ware that
ELEC TROL U X HOM E PRODUCT S, INC.,
may deny you warranty coverage if your small
off--road engine engine or a part of it has failed
due t o abuse, neglect, im proper maintenance,
unapproved m odifications, o r the u se of p arts
not made o r approved by the original equipment
manufacturer. Y ou are responsible f or present-
ing your small o ff--road engineto anELECTRO-
LUX HOME PRODU CTS , INC. , a u th o r i zed re-
pair center as soon as a problem exists. War-
ranty repairs should be completed in a reason-
able amount o f time, n ot to exceed 3 0 days. If
you have any que stions regarding your warran-
ty rights and responsibilities, you should contact

MENCEMENT DA TE: The warranty p eriod be-
gins on the date the small o ff--road engine is
purchased. LENGTH O F C OVERAGE: Th is
warranty shall be for a period of two years f rom
the initial date of purchase. WHA T IS COV-
ERED: R EP AIR OR REPLACEMENT OF
PARTS. Repair or replacement of any war-
ranted part will be per formed at no charge to the
owner at an approved ELECTROLUX H OME
