Maintenance
General Recommendations
Regular maintenancewill improve the performance and
extendthe life of the pressure washer. Seeany qualified
dealerfor service.
The pressure washer's warranty does not cover items that
have been subjectedto operator abuse or negligence.To
receivefull value from the warranty, the operator must
maintainthe pressure washer as instructed in this manual
and in the engine manual, including proper storage as
detailed in Winter Storageand Long Term Storage.
NOTE:Should you have questions about replacing
components on your pressure washer, pleasecall
(888) 611-6708 for assistance.
Some adjustments will needto be made periodicallyto
properly maintain your pressure washer. Checkthe
spray gun and nozzleextension assembly for wear.
All maintenancein this manualand the engine
operator's manualshould be madeat least once each
season.
Oncea year you should clean or replacethe spark plug,
clean or replacethe air filter. A new spark plug and
clean air filter assure proper fuel-air mixture and help
your engine run better and last longer. Pleaserefer to
your engine operator's manual for more details.
Before Each Use
1. Checkengine oil level.
2. Cleandebris.
3. Checkwater inlet screen for damage.
4. Checkhigh pressure hose for leaks.
5. Checkdetergentsiphoning tube and filter for damage.
6. Checkspray gun and nozzleextension assembly for
leaks.
7. Rinse out garden hose to flush out debris.
Pump Oil
DONOTattempt any oil maintenanceon this pump. The
pump is pre-lubricated and sealedfrom the factory, requiring
no additional maintenancefor the life of the pump.
Pressure Washer Maintenance
Clean Debris
Daily or before use, clean accumulated debris from pressure
washer. Keeplinkage, spring and controls clean. Keeparea
around and behind muffler free from any combustible debris.
Inspect cooling air slots and openings on the pressure
washer. These openings must be kept clean and
unobstructed.
Pressure washer parts should be kept clean to reducethe
risk of overheatingand ignition of accumulated debris.
Usea damp cloth to wipe exterior surfaces clean.

l Improper treatment of pressure washer can damage it and
shorten its life.
L DONOTinsertanyobjectsthroughcoolingslots.
Usea soft bristle brush to loosen caked on dirt, oil, etc.
Usea vacuum cleanerto pick up loose dirt and debris.
Check and Clean inlet Screen
Examinethe screen on the pump's water inlet. Cleanit if the
screen is clogged or replaceit if screen is damaged.
CheckHigh PressureHose
The high pressure hose can develop leaksfrom wear,
kinking, or abuse. Inspectthe hose eachtime before using it.
Checkfor cuts, leaks, abrasions or bulging of cover, damage
or movement of couplings. If any of these conditions exist,
re)lace the hose immediately.
WARNING
The high pressurestream of water that this

underlying tissues, leadingto serious injury and
)ossible amputation.

Check Detergent Siphoning Tube
Examinethe filter on the detergent tube and clean if clogged.
The tube should fit tightly on the barbed fitting. Examinethe
tube for leaks or tears. Replacethe filter or tube if either is
damaged.
