WARNING: Rotating tines can cause
serious injury. Keep away from rotating tines.
Stop the u nit and disconnect the power source
before unclogging tines or making repairs.

debris and hard and sharp objects such as
rocks, vines, branches, rope, string, etc.

S Neveroperatethecultivatorwithoutthetine
guard in place and properly secured.
S Keepthetines andguardclearofdebris.Al-
ways wear gloves whenservicingor clean-
ing the tines. The tines become very sharp
from use.
S Avoid heavy contact with solid objects that
might stop the tines. If heavy contact oc-
curs, stop themotorand inspectthe unitfor
damage.
S After striking a foreign object, stop theunit,
disconnect the power source and inspect
thecultivator fordamage. Repairbeforere-
starting.
S Disconnect attachment from the drive mo-
torbeforecleaningthetineswithahoseand
water toremove anybuild--up. Oil thetines
to prevent rust.
S Do not run unit at high speed unless culti-
vating.

is released. The blade can seriously cut

S Throw away blades that are bent, warped,
cracked, broken or damaged in any other
way. Replace parts that are cracked,
chipped, or damagedbefore u sing theunit.

S Keep blade guard in place and in good
working order.
S Always keep the wheel in contact with t he
ground.
S Always push the unit slowly over the
ground. Stay alert fo r uneven sidewalks,
holes in the terrain, large roots, etc.
S To reduce the risk of fire, do not allow exces-
sive grass, leaves, or grease to accumulate
on the attachment.
S Objects struck by the cutting member can
cause serious injuries to persons. The lawn
should always be carefully examined and
cleared of all objects prior to edging.
