S Use a voltage supply as shown on unit .
S Avoiddangerous environments.Donotuse
in unventilated areas or where dust or ex-
plosive vapors can build up.
S To reduce the risk of electrical shock, this
equipment has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other) and will r equire the
use o f a polarized extension cord. T he ap-
pliance plug will fit into a polarized exten-
sioncordonly oneway. Iftheplug doesnot
fit fully into the extension cord, reverse the
plug. If the plug still does not fit, o btain a
correct polarized extension cord. A polar-

let. Do not change the equipment plug, ex-
tension cord receptacle, or extension cord
plug in any way.
S To reduce risk o f electrical shock, use exten-
sion cords specifically marked as suitable for
outdoorappliances havingelectrical ratingnot
less than the rating o f unit. Cord must be
marked with suffix “W--A” (in Canada “W”).
Ma ke sure your exten si o n cord is i n good
condition. Inspect extension cord before use
and replace if damaged. Do not use a dam-
aged cord. Cordinsulation must beintact with
no cracks or deterioration. Plug connectors
must be undamaged. The extension cord
used to reach the power source must be
heavy enough tocarry currentfrom thepower
source the full length of the extension cord to
the unit. An undersized extension cord will
cause adrop inlinevoltageresulting inloss of
power and overheating. If in doubt, use the
next heavier gauge. The lower the gauge
number , the heavier the cord (see SELECT
AN EXTENSION CORD inthe OPERAT ION
sec tio n) .
S Do not use multiple cords.
S Keep the extension cord clear of operator
andobstacles at alltimes. Position cordso
that it will not be caught on branches.
