EMISSION CONTROL WARRANTY STATEMENT
YOUR WARRANTY RIGHTS AND OB-
LIGATIONS: The U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency, California Air Resources
Board, Environment Canada and Poulan a re
pleasedtoexplaintheemissions controlsystem
warranty onyour year 2009 andlater small of f--
road eng ine. In Ca lifornia, al l small of f--road en-
gines must be designed, built, and equipped to
meet t he Sta te’s st ringent anti--smog stan-
dards. Poulan must warrant the emission
controlsystemonyoursmalloff-- roadengine
for the periods of time listed below provided
therehas beenno abuse, neglect, orimprop-
erm aintenanceofyoursmalloff--roadengine.
Your emission control system includes parts
such as the carburetor , the ignition system and
the fuel ta nk. Where a warrantable condition
exists, Poulan will repair your small off--road
engine at no cost to you. Expenses covered
under warranty include diagnosis, parts and
labor. MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY
COVERAGE: If any emissions related part
on your engine (as listed under Emissions
Control W arranty Parts List)is d efectiveorade-
fect i n the materials or workmanship of t he en-
gine causes the failure of such an emission re-
lated part, the part will be repaired or replaced
by Poulan. OWNER’S WARRANTY RE-
SPONSIBILITIES:As the small off--road en -
gine owner, you are responsible for the per-
formance of the required maintenance listed
in your instruction manual. Poulan recom-
mends that you retain all r eceipts covering
maintenance on your small off--road engine,
but Poulan cannot deny warranty solely for
the lack of receipts or for your failure to en-
sure the performance of all scheduled main-
tenance. Asthe smalloff--road engineowner,
you should be aware that Poulan may deny
you warranty coverage if your small off--road
engine or a part of it has failed due toabuse,
neglect, improper m aintenance, unapproved
modifications,or theuseof partsnot madeor
approvedbytheo riginalequipmentmanufac-
turer. You are responsible for presenting your
small o ff--road engine to an P oulan authorized
repair center as soonas a p roblem exists.War-
ran tyre pairsshouldbecompletedinareason-
ableamountof tim e,nottoexceed30days.If

is purchased. LENGTH OF COVERAGE:
This warranty shall be for a period of two
yearsfromtheinitialdateofpurchase. WHA T
IS COVERED: REPAIR OR REPLACE-
MENTOF PARTS.Repair or replacement of
any warranted part will be performed at no
charge to the owner at an approved Poulan
servicing center. If you have any questions

. WARR ANTY PERIOD: Any
warranted pa rt which is notscheduled for re-
placementasrequiredmaintenance,orwhich
is scheduledonly forregularinspectiontothe
effectof“repairorreplaceasnecessary”shall
be warranted for2 years.Any warrantedpart
which is scheduled for replacement as re-
quiredm aintenanceshallbewarrantedforthe
period of time up to t he first scheduled re-
placement point for that part. DIAGNOSIS:
Theownershallnotbechargedfordiagnostic
labor which leads t o t he d ete rmi nation t hat a
warrantedpartisdefectiveifthe diagnostic work
is performed at an approved Poulan servicing
center . CONSEQUENTIAL D AMAGES: Pou-
lan may be liable for damages t o other engine
components caused b y the failure o f a war-
ranted part still under warranty. WHAT IS NOT
COVERED: All failures caused by abuse, ne-
glect,orimproper maintenanceare notcovered.
ADD--ON OR MOD IF I ED PA RT S: The use of
add--on or modified parts c an be g rounds for
disallowing awarrantyclaim.Poulanis notliable
to cover failures of warranted parts caused by
the use of add--on or modified parts. HOW TO
