This warranty is not transferable and does not
cover damage or liabilit y caused by improper
handling, improper maintenance, or the use of
accessories and/or attachments not specifically

this war ranty does not cover tune-ups, spark
plugs, filters, starter ropes, starter springs, cut-
ting line, orrotating head parts that w ill wear and
requirereplacement with reasonable use during

cover pr edelivery setup or normal adjustments
explained in the instruction manual.

YOUR WARRANTY RIGHTS AND OBLIGA-
TIONS:
The U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency/California Air R esources Boar d and
ELECTROLUX HOME PRODUCTS, INC., are
pleased to explaintheemissions controlsystem
warr anty on your year 2002--2004 small off--
road engi ne. InCalifornia, all new sm alloff--road
engines must be designed, built, and equipped
to meet the State’s str ingent anti--smog stan-
dards. ELECTROLUX HOME PRODUCTS,
INC., must w arr ant the emission control system
on your small off--road engine for the periods of
time l isted bel ow provided t her e has been no
abuse, neglect, or impr oper maintenance o f
your small off--road engine engine. Your emis-
sion control system includes parts such as the
carburetor and the ignition system. Where a
war rantable condition exists, ELECTRO LU X
HOME PRODUCTS, INC., will r epair y oursm all
off--road engine engine at no cost to you. Ex-
penses cover edunderwarrantyincludediagno-
sis, parts and labor.

If any emissions
related par t on y our engi ne (as listed under
EmissionsControl Warr antyPartsList) i sdefec-
tive or a defect in the materials or workmanship
oftheengine causesthefailureof suchan em is-
sion r elated part, the part w ill be repaired or re-
placed by ELECTRO LU X H O ME PROD-
UCTS, INC.
OWNER’S WARRANTY R E-
SPONSIBILITIES:
As the small off--road en-
gine engine owner, you are responsible for the
performance of the required maintenance listed
in your instr uction manual. ELECTRO LUX
HOME PRODUCTS, INC., r ecommends that
you r etain all r eceipts covering maintenance on
your small of f--road engine, but ELECTR O LUX
HOME PRODUCTS, INC., cannot deny war-
ranty solely for the lack of receipts or for your
failure to ensure the performance of all sched-
uled maintenance. A s the small off--road en-
gine engi ne owner, y ou should be a w are that
ELECTROLUX HOME PRODUCTS, INC.,
may deny you w ar ranty cover age if your small
off--road engine engine or a par t of it has failed
due to abuse, neglect, improper maintenance,
unapproved modifications, o r the use of parts
not madeor appr ovedby the original equipment
manufacturer. Yo u are responsible for pr esent-
ing yoursmalloff--road engineto anELECTRO-
LUX HOME PRODUCTS, INC., authorized re-
pair center as soon as a problem exists. W ar-
ranty repairs should be completed in a r eason-
able amount of time, not to exceed 30 days. If
