OPERATION

MULCHING BLADES
Your blower is equipped with mulching blades as a standard feature. When using the vacuum
attachment, the mulching blades autom atically reduce debris at a rat io of up to 16:1.

STOP
Switch
STOP SWITCH
The STOP switch is used to stop the engine.
To stop the engine, push and hold the STOP
switch in the STOP position until the engine
stops.
THROTTLE TRIGGER
The THROTTLE TRIGGER is used t o select
the desired engine speed.
PRIMER BUTTON
The PRI MER BU TTON removes air fr om the
carburetor and fuel lines and fills them wi th fuel.
Thisallowsyoutostarttheenginewithfewer
pulls on the start er rope. Activa te primer button
by pressing it and allowing it to return to its ori gi-
nal p osition.
START L EVER
The ST ART LEVER helps to supply fuel to t he
engine to aid in starting. Act ivate the starting
system by movi ng the start lever to t he STAR T
positi on. DO NOT squee ze th e thr ottle tr igger
until the engine has started and runs. After the
engine starts, a llow the engine to warm--up
10--15 se conds, then fully squeeze the throttle
trigger to deact ivat e the starting system.

OPERATING TIPS
S While vacuuming or blowing debris, hold
the unit with the muffler side facing away
from your body and clothes (see OPERAT-
ING POSITION illustration above).
S To reduce the risk of hearing loss
asso ciated with sound level(s), hearing
protection is required.
S To reduce the risk of injury associated wi th
contacting ro tating parts, stop the engine be-
fore inst alling or re moving attachments. Do
not operate without guard( s) in place .
S Operate power equ ipment only at reasonable
hours--not ear ly in the morning or late at night
when people might be disturbed. Comply with
times l iste d in local ordinances. Usu al recom-
mendations are 9 :00 a .m. to 5 :00 p.m.,
Monday though Satu rday.
S To reduce noise levels, lim it the number of
pieces of equipment used at any one time.
