Safety Guards
!
DANGER
Rotary Cutters have the ability to discharge objects at high
speeds; therefore, the use of front and rear safety guards is
strongly recommended when cutting along highways or in
areas where people may be present.
!
WARNING
Not all objects will be stopped by safety guards. Therefore, use
extreme caution when cutting in areas where people may be
present. It is best to operate the cutter when no one is nearby.
Stop blade rotation if someone is within several hundred feet.
Front Rubber Guard
Refer to Figure 2-1:
1. Install front rubber guard (#1)and front strap (#3) with
3/8" x 1" long carriage bolts (#5) and 3/8" flange
nuts (#6).
2. Tighten all nuts and bolts to proper torque.
Rear Rubber Guard
1. Install rear rubber guard (#2) and rear strap (#4) with
3/8" x 1" long carriage bolts (#5) and 3/8" flange
nuts (#6).
2. Tighten all nuts and bolts to proper torque.
