Position handle
Loosen handle lock lever (fi g. 16). Handle can be po si tioned
at different settings between "high" and "low" po si tions (fi g.
16). Retighten handle lock lever.
NOTE!
Select handle height suitable for you and your tilling con di tions.
Handle height will change when tiller digs into the soil.
WARNING!
Stop the engine and remove the spark plug wire and cover
from the spark plug (fi g. 7) before cleaning out the tines by
hand. Use caution - tines are sharp.
IMPORTANT!
Place blocks under transmission to keep tiller from tipping.
Ground drive belt adjustment
For proper belt tension, the extension spring (fi g. 17) should
have about 5/8 inch stretch with drive control bar in engaged
position (fi g. 9). This tension can be obtained as follows.
a. Loosen cable clip screw securing the drive control cable
(fi g. 17).
b. Slide cable forward for less tension and rear ward for more
tension until about 5/8 inch stretch is obtained.
c. Tighten cable clip screw securely.
