FAULT POSSIBLE CAUSE REMEDY
Engine overheats.
Tractor does not drive.
Engine loses power.
Abnormal vibration.
Engine load excessive.
Engine oil level is low.
Cooling fins and air passages under engine
blower housing are plugged.
Air vents in engine cover blocked with debris.
Fan cover on top of engine blocked with
debris.
Traction belt is worn, loose or broken.
Traction belt is off the pulley.
Engine load is excessive.
Air cleaner is dirty.
Oil level in crankcase is low.
Air vents in engine cover blocked with debris.
Fan cover on top of engine blocked with
debris.
Spark plug is pitted, fouled or gap is incor-
rect.
Vent hole in fuel cap is plugged.
Dirt in fuel filter.
Dirt, water or stale fuel is in fuel system.
Cutterblade(s) bent or unbalanced.
Blade mounting screws are loose.
Engine mounting bolts are loose.
Loose engine pulley, idler pulley or blade pul-
ley.
Engine pulley is damaged.
Blade drive belt is damaged.
Reduce ground speed.
Add oil to engine.
Remove obstruction from cooling fins and
air passages.
Clear vents of debris.
Clear cover of debris.
Contact Authorised Service Dealer.
Contact Authorised Service Dealer.
Reduce ground speed.
Clean air cleaner elements.
Add oil to crankcase.
Clear vents of debris.
Clear cover of debris.
Install new, correctly adjusted spark plug.
Clean or replace the fuel cap.

Tighten blade mounting screws.
Tighten engine mounting bolts.
Tighten the appropriate pulley.

Install new blade drive belt.
