WARNING: The engine exhaust, some of its constituents, and certain vehicle components
contain or emit chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other
reproductive harm.
WARNING: This unit is equipped with an internal combustion engine and should not be used on
or near any unimproved forest-covered, brush-covered or grass-covered land unless the engine’s
exhaust system is equipped with a spark arrester meeting applicable local or state laws (if any). If a
spark arrester is used, it should be maintained in effective working order by the operator. In the
State of California the above is required by law (Section 4442 of the California Public Resources
Code). Other states may have similar laws. Federal laws apply on federal lands. A spark arrester for
the muffler is available through your nearest engine authorized service dealer or contact the service

DANGER: Your tractor was built to be operated according to the rules for safe operation in this
manual. As with any type of power equipment, carelessness or error on the part of the operator can
result in serious injury. To help prevent accidents, read and take the following precautions before
operating this tractor. Failure to observe the following safety instructions could result in serious
injury or death.
1. GENERAL OPERATION
Read, understand, and follow all instructions in
the operator’s manual and on the machine
before starting. Keep this manual in a safe
place for future and regular reference.
Only allow responsible individuals familiar with
the instructions to operate the machine. Know
controls and how to stop the machine quickly.
Pay special attention to the warning and
caution labels affixed to the tractor.
Keep all safety decals clean and readable.
Replace any missing, illegible, or damaged
safety decals.
Use the handholds and step plates when
getting on and off the tractor to help prevent
accidental falls. Keep the steps and running
boards clear of mud and debris.
Before driving the tractor in reverse, check to
see that there are no people or obstacles
around.
Watch where you are going at all times. Watch
for and avoid all obstacles. Be alert at row
ends, near trees and other obstructions.
