CLEANING
i Clean engine, battery, seat, finish,etc.
of all foreign matter.
Keep finished surfaces and wheels
free of all gasoline, oil, etc,
Protect painted surfaces with automo-
tive type wax.
We do not recommend usinga garden
hose to clean yourtractor unless the
electdcal system, muffler, air filterand
carburetor are covered to keep water out.
Water in engine can resultin a short-
ened engine life.
_(_ CAUTION: BEFORE PERFORMING ANY SERVICE ORADJUSTMENTS:
1. Depress clutch/brake pedal fullyand set parking brake.
2. Place gearshi_ lever in neutral (N) position.
3. Place attachment clutch in =DISENGAGED" position.
4. Turn ignitionkey "OFF" and remove key.
5. Make sure the blades and all moving parts have completely stopped.
6. Disconnect spark plug wire from spark plug and place wire where it cannot
come incontact with plug.
TRACTOR
TO REMOVE MOWER
Mower will be easier to remove from the
dght side oftractor.
1. Place attachment clutch in =DISEN-
GAGED" position.
2. Move attachment liftlever forward to
lower mower to its lowest position.
3. Roll belt off engine pulley.
4. Remove small retainer spring, and lift
clutchspdng offpulley belt.
5. Remove large retainer spdng, slide
collar off and push housing guide out
of brackeL
6. Disconnect anti-awaybar from chassis
bracket by removing retainer spdng.
7. Disconnect suspension arms from
rear deck brackets by removing
retainer spdngs.
8. Disconnect front links fromdeck by
removing retainer spdngs.
9. Raise lift lever to raise suspension
arms. Slide mower out from under
tractor.

IMPORTANT: Ifan attachment other than
the mower deck is to be mounted on the
tractor,remove the front links and hook
the clutch spdng Into square hole in
frame.
TO INSTALL MOWER
1. Raise attachment liftlever to its
highest position.
2. Slide mower undertractor with
discharge guard to dght side of tractor.
3. Lower liftlever to itslowest position.
4. Install mower in reverse erder of
removal instructions.
