PARKING BRAKE
Tosetthe parkingbrake,fullydepressthe brakepedal.Movethe
parkingbrakeleverintotheONposition.Releasethebrakepedalto
allowtheparkingbraketoengage.
Toreleasethe parkingbrake,depressthe brakepedaland movethe
parkingbrakeleverout of theONpositionandinto the OFFposition.
NOTE: Theparkingbrakemustbe setif the operatorleavesthe seat
withthe enginerunningor the enginewillautomaticallyshutoff.
AMMETER
Theammetermeasuresthe electricaloutputof the engine'scharging
system.Undernormaloperatingconditions,withengineat full throttle,
the ammetershouldindicatepositivecharge.
THROTTLE/CHOKE CONTROL LEVER
Thethrottle/chokecontrolleveris
locatedonthe right sideofthe trac-
tor'sdashpanel.This levercontrols
the speedof the engineand,when
pushedall thewayforward,the
chokecontrolalso.Whensetin
a givenposition,thethrottlewill
maintaina uniformenginespeed.
iMPORTANT: Whenoperating
the tractorwiththe cuttingdeck
engaged,becertainthatthe throttle
leverisalwaysin the FAST(rabbit)
position.

IGNITION SWITCH MODULE
Thekeyswitchmoduleisusedto startandstoptheengine.It is also
usedtoactivatethe ReverseCautionMode(bladesoperatewhile
ridingin reverse).Insertkeyintothe keyswitchmoduleandturn
clockwisetotheSTARTposition.
Releasethekeyintothenormalmow- o,,....... oo,o
ingpositiononceenginehasstarted. @
Theheadlightswillbeactivatedinthe
Normal(andReverseCaution)modes.
Tostopthe engine,turnthe ignition
keycounterclockwiseto theSTOP
position.

Neverleavea runningmachineunattended.AlwaysdisengagePTO,
moveshift leverintoneutralposition,setparkingbrake,stopengine
andremovekeyto preventunintendedstarting.
DECK LIFT LEVER
Foundonyour tractor'srightfender,thedeckliftleveris
usedto changethe heightofthe cuttingdeck. Touse,move
the levertothe left,thenplacein the notchbestsuitedfor
yourapplication.
PTO (BLADE ENGAGE) LEVER
Foundonthe tractor'srightfender,the PT0 (bladeengage)
leveris usedtoengagepowertothecuttingdeckorother
(separatelyavailable)attachments.Tooperate,movethe
leverall thewayforward.Movingtheleverallthe way
rearwardinto thePTOOFFpositiondisengagespowerto
the cuttingdeck/attachment.
NOTE: ThePTO(bladeengage)levermustbe inthe
disengaged(PTOOFF)positionwhenstartingthe engine.
CUP HOLDER
The tractor'scup holderis locatedon the fendertothe left
of theseat.

The speedcontrollever,locatedon the left IF
fender,allowsyouto regulatethetravel
directionandgroundspeedof thelawn
tractor.Touse,releasetheparkingbrake
and movethespeedcontrolleverforward
(totravelforward)or rearward(to travelin
reverse).The furtherforwardor rearward
thatthe leverismoved,the fasterthe
tractorwilltravel.
Placethespeedcontrolleverinthe Cutting
Speed,orslower,positionwhenmowing.
iMPORTANT: DoNOTattemptto change
the directionoftravelwhenthetractoris
inmotion.Seriousdamageto thetractor's
transmissioncould result.Alwaysbringthetractortoa completestop
beforemovingthespeedcontrolleverfromforwardto reverseor vice
versa.
iMPORTANT: Alwayssetthe parkingbrakewhenleavingthetractor
unattended.
SEAT ADJUSTMENT LEVER
Toadjusttheseatforwardorbackwardonunitsequippedwithaquick-
adjustseat,slidethe seatadjustmentlevertotheleftandrepositionthe
seattothedesiredposition.Onceacomfortablepositionisfound,release
the seatadjustmentlevertolocktheseatinplace.Referto theAssembly
of thismanualformoredetailedinstructionsontheseatadjustments.
BRAKE PEDAL
The brakepedalis locatedon the leftside of thelawntractor,along
the runningboard.Depressthe brakepedalpartof thewaydownto
slowthe tractor'sgroundspeed.Depressthepedalallthe waydownto
engagethe discbrakeandbringthetractorto a completestop.
NOTE: Thepedalmustbe depressedto starttheengine.Referto
