TRACTOR OPERATION
ADJUSTING THE VARIABLE SPEED
CONTROL (Cont’d)
4. Tighten control knob, A (See Figure 17).
NOTE: The optimum location of the
VARIABLE SPEED CONTROL KNOB
allows you to fully engage the hydrostatic
control lever to achieve a comfortable
operating speed for the ground conditions.
NOTE: Moving the VARIABLE SPEED
CONTROL KNOB toward the FAST posi-
tion increase hydrostatic control lever
effort.
Moving the VARIABLE SPEED CONTROL
KNOB toward the SLOW position decreases
hydrostatic control lever effort.
FORWARD DIRECTION
1. SLOWLY apply pressure and PULL UP on
the HYDROSTATIC CONTROL LEVER,
A, as shown (See Figure 18).
2. Forward speed is directly proportional to the
amount the hydrostatic control lever is
moved.
3. The more the lever is pulled up, the faster
the forward ground speed will be,
When stopping release the
control lever slowly.
REVERSE DIRECTION
1. SLOWLY apply pressure and PULL BACK
on the HYDROSTATIC CONTROL
LEVER as shown (See Figure 19).
2. Reverse speed is directly proportional to the
amount the hydrostatic control lever is
moved.
3. The more the lever is pulled back, the faster
the reverse ground speed will be.
NOTE: Do not back up with the attach-
ment on the ground.
