To remove and replace the floppy disk drive
Use this procedure to remove and replace the floppy disk drive. When necessary, refer to other
removal procedures.

Disconnect the power cable and remove the cover.
2 Disconnect the ribbon cable W8 at the disk drive.
3 Remove the two Torx T8 screws that secure the disk drive to the chassis.

4 Slide the disk drive back and lift it out of the instrument.
5 To replace the floppy disk drive, reverse the above procedure.
To remove and replace the motherboard
Use the following procedure to remove and replace the motherboard assembly. When necessary,
refer to other removal procedures.
CAUTION REPLACE MOTHERBOARD WITH THE SAME TYPE!
Be sure to order the correct motherboard, and replace the motherboard with the same type.

Disconnect the power cable and remove the cover.
2 Disconnect the floppy disk drive cable W8 from the SVGA display board, then remove
the floppy drive.
3 Disconnect the hard disk drive cable W10 from the SVGA display board, then remove
the hard disk drive.
4 Remove the SVGA display board and the scope interface board assembly.
5 Remove the GPIB interface board.
6 Disconnect the power supply cable W5 from the motherboard. There are two
connectors to unplug.
