Engine Removal/Installation
Engine In stallation
•
Install the engine on the frame.
•
Before tightening the engine mounting nuts, measure the
left and right clearance [A] between the bosses [B] of
crankcase and frame brackets [C] with thickness gauge.
Clearance: Under 0.3 mm
If the clearances are over the specified value, adjust them
by inserting the shim (Part No. 92180-1354) and tighten
the following nuts.
Torque - Engine Mounting Nuts:
25N·m(2.5kgf·m,18ft·lb)
29N·m(3.0kgf·m,21ft·lb):KX65-A3∼
Swing Arm Pivot Shaft Nut: 69 N·m (7.0 kgf·m, 51
ft·lb)
Shift Pedal Bolt: 8.8 N·m (0.90 kgf·m, 78 in·lb)

Fill the cooling system with coolant (see Cooling System
chapter).
•
Fill the engine with engine oil (see Engine Bottom
End/Transmission chapter).

Throttle Cable
Clutch Cable
Drive Chain
Rear Brake
