A sample inftab entry follows:
zeb711:/usr/informix/7.11:onconfig.std:2048:Y:SQLHOSTS
This sample entry sets the Informix database server name to zeb711, the
location of the Informix directory to
/usr/informix/7.11, the name of the
Informix configuration file for OnLine to
onconfig.std, the platform’s
page size to
2048, the BMC Software DEBUG option to Y for this
instance, and the Informix SQL hosts filename to
SQLHOSTS.

Parameters Description
informix_server Sets the INFORMIXSERVER environment
variable. This value will be used as the name of
the Informix database server.
informix_dir Sets the INFORMIXDIR environment variable.
This value is the directory where Informix was
installed. If a directory is specified,
informix_dir/bin will be appended to the PATH
environment variable.
onconfig Sets the ONCONFIG environment variable, which
is the name of the Informix OnLine configuration
file.
page_size Sets the INFORMIXPGSIZE environment variable.
Presently, this is 4096 for IBM AIX, and 2048 for
HP-UX, Sun Solaris, and SINIX.
bmc_debug Sets the BMCDEBUG environment variable to Y
(for on) or N (for off, which is the default). If the
parameter is set to Y, you will receive environment
information in your job log for all jobs that are run
through the Job Scheduler.
informix_sqlhosts Sets the INFORMIXSQLHOSTS environment
variable.
