Installing the PATROL DB-Admin Knowledge Module
If you want to install the PATROL DB-Admin KM and you have not
already done so, complete the relevant procedures in this section.
Before you install the PATROL DB-Admin KM, ensure that the
following requirements are met:
• The PATROL Application Management software (PATROL Agent
and PATROL Console) must be installed.
• You must have write authority to the $PATROL_HOME directory
and know the location of $PATROL_HOME. This directory contains
the PATROL Application Management software executables.
Installing the PATROL DB-Admin KM (Unix Host)
Step 1 Insert the CD into the drive on the host where you are installing the
PATROL DB-Admin KM.
Step 2 Log on to the target host.
Step 3 Run the installation script.
3.A Change to the directory server/unix under the CD-ROM mount
point. For example, if the CD-ROM is mounted under
/usr/cdrom, type the following command:
cd /usr/cdrom/server/unix
Note
For HP-UX versions that display directory and file names in all
uppercase, type the following command: cd /usr/cdrom/SERVER/UNIX.
