WARNING: Perform the following
steps after each use.
S St op the unit and remove the battery pack
when not in use.
S C arry the unit with motor stopped.
S St ore the unit so the blades cannot cause
injury.
S St oreunit indoor sin ahigh, dr yplace outof
the reach of children.
S St ore unit with all guards in place. Position
unit so that any sharp object cannot acci-
dentally cause injury.
BATTERY DISPOSAL
WARNING: Remove the battery pack
from the hedge trimmer . Cover the terminals
with heavy duty adhesive tape. Do not attempt
to destroy or disassemble battery pack o r re-
move any of its components. Nickel--cadmium
batteries must be recycled or disposed of prop-
erly.Also, never touch bothterminals with metal
objects and/or body parts to avoid short circuit-
ing the battery pack. Keep awa y from chil dren.
Failure to comply with these warnings could re-
sult in fire or serious personal i njury.
S To preserve natural resources, please re-
cycle or dispose of batteries properly.
S T hisproductcontains nickel--cadmiumbatter-
ies. Local, state or federal laws may prohibit
disposal of nickel--cadmium batteries in ordi-
nary trash.
