OPERATOR SAFETY

HANDS AND FEET AWAY FROM BLADE.
Keep both hands on handles when power is
on. Do notattempt to clear away cut material
when blades are in motion. Remove battery
pack from unit before removing jammed ma-
terial from blades. Do notgrab orhold unit by
blades.
S Dress properly. A lways wear safety
glasses or similar eye protection when op-
erating,orperformingmaintenanceonyour
unit.(Safetyglassesareavailable.) A lways
wearfaceordustmask ifoperationisdusty.
Always wear heavy, long pants, long
sleeves, boots, and gloves. Secure hair
above shoulder length. Do not go barefoot
orwear shortpants,sandals, jewelry, loose
clothing, or clothing with loosely hanging
straps, ties, tassels, etc. They can be
caught in m oving parts.
S Always wear hearing protection when us-
ing this unit.
S Being fully covered also helps protect you
from debr isand pieces oftoxic plantssuch
as poison ivy thrown by the blades, which
couldbemoreofahazardthantouchingthe
plant itself.
S Stay Alert. Do not operate unit when you are
tired, ill, upset or under influence of alcohol,
