YOUR WARRANTY RIGHTS AND OB-
LIGATIONS: The U.S. Environmental
Protect ion Agency, California Air Resources
Board, Environment Canada and WEED
EATER a re pleased t o explain the emissions
contr ol system warr anty o n your year 2010 and
later smal l off--ro ad engine. In California, all
small of f--road engines must be designe d, built,
andequippe dtomeettheSta te’s stringentanti--
smog standards. WEE D EATER must war-
rant the emission control system on y our
small off--road engine for the periods of time
listed below provided there has been no
abuse, neglect, or improper maintenance of
your sm all off--road engine. Your emission
contr ol system includes parts such as the car-
buretor, the ignition system and the fuel tank.
Wherea warrantableconditionexists, W EED
EA TER will repair your small off--road engine
at no cost to you. Expenses covered under
warranty include diagnosis, parts and labor.
MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY COV-
ERAGE:Ifanyemissionsrelat edpartonyour
engine (as listed under Emissions Control
Warranty Par ts List ) is defective or a defect in
the materials or wo rkmanship of t he engine
causes the fai lure of such an emission related
part, the part wi ll be repaire d or replaced by
WEED EATER. OWNER’SWARRANTYRE-
SPONSIBILITIES: As the small off--road en-
gine owner, you are responsible for the per-
formance of the required maintenance listed
in your instruction manual. WEED EATER
recommends that yo u retain all receipts cov-
ering maintenanceon your small off--roaden-
gine,but WEEDEATER cannot denywarran-
ty solely for the lack o f receipts or for your
failuretoensurethe per formanceofallsched-
uled maintenance. A s the small off--road en-
gine owner , you should be aware that WEED
EA TER may deny you warranty coverage if
your small off--road engine or a part of it has
failedduetoabuse,neglect,impropermainte-
nance, unapproved modifications, or the use
of parts no t made or approved by the original
equipment manufacturer. Yo u ar e responsible
for presenting your small of f--road engine to an
WEED EATER authorized repa ir cent er as
soon as a problem exists. Warra nty repairs
should be completed in a reasonable amount of
time, not to exceed 30 days. If you have any

. WARRANTY COM-
MENCEMENT DATE: The warranty period
begins on the dat e the sm all off--road engine
is purchased. LENGTH OF COVERAGE:
This warranty shall be for a period of two
years fromthe initialdate ofpurchase, oruntil
the endof the product warranty (whichever is
longer). WHAT IS COVERED: REPAIR OR
REPLACEMENT OF PARTS. Repair or re-
placement of any warranted part will be per-
formed at no charge to the owner at an ap-
provedWEED EATERservicingcent er. Ifyou
have any questions regarding your warranty
rights andresponsibilities,youshouldcontact
your nearest authorized service center, call

. WARRANTY PE-
RIOD: Any war ranted part which is not
scheduledfor replacementas required main-
tenance, or which is scheduledonly forregu-
lar inspectionto theeffectof “repairor r eplace
as necessary” shall be warrantedfor 2years.
Any warranted partwhichis scheduledfor re-
placement as required maintenance shall be
warranted for the period of time up to the first
scheduled replacement point for that part.
DIAGNOSIS: The owner shall not be
charged for diagnost ic labor which leads to
the determination that a warrantedpart is de-
fective if the diagnostic work i s performed at
anapprovedWEED EATER servicingcenter.
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES: WEED
EA TER may be liable for damages to other
engineco m ponentscausedby the failure o fa
warranted part still under warrant y. WHATIS
NOT COVERED: All failures caused by
abuse, neglect, or improper maintenance are
not covered.
