DO NOT ENTER THE SWIMMING POOL WHILE ROBO-KLEEN
IS IN OPERATION TO AVOID ENTANGLEMENT WITH CORD
Operation
a. Connect the cable to the power supply
b. Grasp the cleaner by a side handle and place Robo-Kleen in the pool.
c. Rock the unit from front to back and side to side, releasing trapped air, until the
unit slowly sinks to the bottom of the pool.
d. Start the unit at a 90˚ angle to a wall . CAUTION: BE SURE MAIN LINE OUTLET IS
PROTECTED BY A GROUND FAULT CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER (GFCI) DEATH OR
SERIOUS INJURY COULD OCCUR.
e. Press the top of the On/Off switch through the clear jacket on the power supply.
Robo-Kleen will take an initial 10 seconds to scan the circuit board and reset the
memory. After the initialization is complete, filtered water will be pumped to the
top and the unit will start moving.
CAUTION: Do not operate Robo-Kleen out of the water. This may result in damage
to the pump motor seals and invalidate the warranty. Optimum water
temperature for the operation of Robo-Kleen is 65˚ F to 85˚ F (18˚ C to 29˚ C). Do
not operate Robo-Kleen when water temperature exceeds 90˚ F (32˚ C).
Cleaning Pattern
Robo-Kleen features an exclusive Controlled Tandem design, which allows the steering
wheels to move together without locking into one position. This feature, combined
with interval timing in the software, which randomly changes the direction of Robo-
Kleen, further enhances movement around the pool.
This eliminates the “back and forth” pattern that can occur when wheels are locked
into position with fixed timing runs. Robo-Kleen’s ability to change direction easily
and often results in coverage of the entire pool quickly.
Another benefit of the Controlled Tandem design is that the cleaner does not continually
move in one direction around the pool. This minimizes coiling of the cord.
