unless all controls are properly
installed and in good working order.
Never operate the blower if the cyl-
inder cover is missing or damaged!
Open the choke (if it is not already ■
open) by moving the choke lever
down.
If the engine does not continue to

run, repeat the appropriate start-
ing procedures for a cold or warm
engine.
When The Engine Starts

After the engine starts, allow the ■
engine to warm up at idle 2 or 3
minutes before operating the unit.
Starting Procedure
Place the blower on the ground. 1.
Prime the fuel system by repeatedly 2.
depressing the fuel primer bulb until
no air bubbles are visible in the fuel
discharge line.
Cold Engine Only.3. Choke the
engine by moving the choke lever
up (choke is closed). See Figure 11.
IMPORTANT!
The primer system only pushes fuel
through the carburetor. Repeatedly
pressing the primer bulb will not ood
the engine with fuel.
Move the throttle lever to half 4.
throttle. RT Model: Slide the ignition
switch to the “I” (ON) position, then
depress the throttle lever halfway
and lock throttle by moving the
throttle lock lever halfway down. See
Figure 12.
Hold the blower rmly with you left 5.

Using your right hand, pull the 6.
starter handle slowly until you feel
the starter engage. See Figure 13.
As the starter engages, pull the 7.
starter handle upward rapidly.
If necessary, repeat Steps 6 and 7 8.
until the engine starts.

Repeat the appropriate starting pro-
cedures for warm or cold engine. If
the engine still will not start, follow the
“Starting a Flooded Engine” procedure.
Cool the engine by allowing it to run 1.
at idle for 2–3 minutes.
Push and hold the Stop button down 2.
until the engine stops. RT Model:
Slide the ignition switch towards the
rear to “O” (OFF). See Figure 14.
