NOTE: Whenperformingthe following step,
be sure the starter rope is not caught under
the cable clamps. The starter rope must
hang freely to operate properly.

7. Alignonecableclampabovethe t ubebolts
and the other below the starter rope han-
dle. Install the cable clamps one at a time
around the tube and throttle cable.
NOTE: Ensure throttle cable is in groove of
clamps and lies flat against the upper handle
tube after installation (see illustration above).

ON/OFF SWITCH
The ON/OFF switch is used t o stop engine. To
stop the engine, move the switch to the OFF
position.
PRIMER BULB
ThePRIMER BULBremoves airfromthecar-
buretor and fuel lines and fills them with fuel.
This allows you to start the engine with fewer
pulls on the starter rope. A ctivate t he primer
bulb by pressing it and allowing it to return to
its original form.
CHOKE
The C HOKE helps to supply fuel to t he engine
toaidincoldstarting.Activatethechokeby
moving the choke lever t o the FULL CHOKE
position. A fter theengineattempts to start, m ove
the choke lever t o the HALF CHOKE position.
Once engine has started, move the choke lever
to th e OFF CHOKE p osition.
